The Patronato Municipal de Promoción Económica

The Patronato Municipal de Promoción Económica is an independent local body attached to Cuenca Town Council. It has its own legal personality, with financial and functional independence to manage local public services and policies in the fields of innovation and development.

Its objectives are to facilitate and foster better occupational training, non-regulated educational mechanisms, occupational guidance and labour integration, economic promotion, support for the creation of new businesses, and the promotion of employment and innovation in the municipality of Cuenca.

Its scope of authority includes the application of active municipal employment policies, the sale of publicly-owned industrial land, initiatives to promote the municipality, and the creation and implementation of programmes and initiatives that stimulate development and innovation in collaboration with the private sector and the authorities.
